Weekend Portfolio Program

Portfolio Programs offer artists the opportunity to concentrate on skill development in specific areas of realist drawing and painting. Students experience focused study in small, intensive groups led by professional artists. Courses and lectures are conducted at Studio Incamminati’s main studios in Center City, Philadelphia. Portfolio Program participants and alumni receive invitations to lectures and special events at Studio Incamminati. Each program runs for 12 consecutive weeks, with one extra week for possible make-up classes. Enrollment is limited to first-come, first-served.

Oil Painting: Still Life and Figure

By combining the study of still life and the figure, students practice the rhythm of balancing and maintaining volume, color and light throughout the many stages of a painting. The goal of the class is to understand the importance of a moving and meaningful composition while tackling tthe continuous task of improved drawing, edges and color.
Students of all levels are encouraged to register. Beginners work in charcoal before embarking on the study of color.
